Recently I stopped by my favorite Downtown Campbell Boutique “Vintage & Vogue”, and I was so excited to see that everything was looking so refreshed and updated since I was in last, that I decided to do another posting on their fabulous boutique!

Linda Sullivan owns and operates this “Glamour Meets Vintage Inspired Boutique”. She does an amazing job, along with her staff, in creating such a welcoming atmosphere, where you want to linger over all the loveliness of the shop for hours! Bianco is one of the reasons why I love living in the town of Los Gatos. I’m a dedicated boutique shopper, and there is no doubt that I’m well aware of every “Très Chic” shop there is in this wonderful town, but Bianco is something of a different breed! European Home Decor and decadent jewelry collections are just a few of the temptations you will find at Bianco. This boutique has so many unique treasures, it’s impossible to leave here empty handed! They also carry a dreamy selection of very “Très Chic” Hats & a Luscious line of French and Italian clothing, which includes a lovely cashmere collection.

Bianco’s staff is always so friendly and helpful. They have done an exceptional job wrapping each and every gift, I have ever purchased from them. Bianco offers complimentary gift wrapping and they use their signature white paper roses on each gift box.
The recipient of your gift will know they are about to receive something extra special! Bianco’s special touch will have a lingering effect, long after the gift has been opened!

Los Gatos is a small town with so many special qualities that make it unique, and everyone that is fortunate enough to live here knows, that the small Boutique businesses are what set our town apart from other towns, and give Los Gatos that “One Of A Kind” quaint atmosphere.

Welcome to Downtown Campbell, so many fun shops to browse through and lots of yummy eateries to tempt your taste buds with! I’m very familiar with many of the shops on Campbell ave.
but there is one in particular, that stands out above the rest!
That would be my all time favorite boutique here in Campbell, “Vintage & Vogue”.

First of all I love the name of this Boutique, everything about the name is expressed in the interior of the shop, there is a mix of Vintage meets Chanel, with French inspired decor added in for good measure! When you walk through the door, your eyes are immediately drawn to so many lovely displayed vignettes! Gorgeous dreamy vintage china cabinets surround you, filled with decadent Jewels and pretty delicate figurines from the past. Everywhere you look it’s a feast for the senses!

This boutique has so many wonderful choices, if your looking for that perfect gift. There is an array of ideas that are very feminine, in the pastel palette, that can be found in a little room in the back of the store, it’s a sweet & precious area where there are many fun “Pink Inspired” decor ideas. I just love it!

Vintage & Vogue has a large selection of home decor, such as beautiful Lamps & Vintage style Chandeliers, Updated Vintage Furnishings, Yummy French Inspired Pillows, Exquisite Accessories, Lovely Framed Prints & Mirrors!

I’ve purchased many “one of a kind” vintage treasures for my
home from this boutique and I always feel like I’m bringing home a real find for a great price!

The staff at this charming boutique are so friendly and helpful. I always feel warmly welcomed into their shop and they make my shopping experience a true delight!

Vintage & Vogue is truly a rare find of a shop, it’s certainly on my list of “Favorite Local Boutiques”!

My Whim Inspired readers have spoken! My most popular post to date is “Pink Inspired Decorating Ideas”. That being said, I’ve decided to do another posting on this favorite topic and it’s also a personal love of mine as well! All the various shades of pink just touch me, in a very special way! The pink palette truly inspires me, like I’m a little girl in a candy store, it really hits my happy button, like nothing else!

Pink is a fabulous versatile color choice, that can add so much interest to any room in your home. It’s not just for bedrooms or your little girl’s play house. It’s a refreshing pop of color, that can be so unexpected and fun or a lovely theme running it’s way through your living room.

Look closely at the photos I’ve collected here and you will see all the ways that pink can be expressed in your decorating choices. I love pink because it’s so light hearted and fun, but it also can be dramatic and very warmly inviting!
I hope pink will find it’s way into your home, it really is such a mood lifting color and we all need a little pick me up every now and again!

Every woman deserves a special place where she can display her favorite “Boudoir Goodies”, such as her perfumes, lotions, jewelry, scented candles, a decorative mirror. This could be a “Vanity” or a if space is an issue, a large bedside table works just as well! Desks in a bedroom can do double duty and function as both a vanity and a work area.

Our grandmothers had lovely vanities, where they kept special mementos and ornate silver mirror & brush sets. There were various kinds of jewelry boxes all displayed proudly to hold all those dramatic costume jewelry pieces, Brooches, Hat pins and cocktail rings! Glamour was the all the style back then! Romance reigned supreme in the world of the “Vanity” back in our grandparents era.

Let’s give ourselves the gift of honoring our femininity and find a spot in our bedrooms to create some beauty for all the treasures, that make us feel lovely & pampered!

We all need a soothing, peaceful place to escape to, where our thoughts can be calmed and the stress of the day can be eased away. I personally feel that place should be our bedroom. It’s a very intimate space, that should totally reflect our most personal choices, in what makes us feel good inside and therefore happy! Unfortunately many people ignore this space entirely, and don’t realize how important it is for your daily well being, to make this space a sanctuary!

Look closely at your bedroom and ask yourself, how do I feel in this space? Bedrooms should offer us respite from the rest of the world,
if you look around your room and you feel a chaotic sense, that lacks that peaceful vibe or you don’t want to linger there for any length of time, then something needs a definite change!

Bedrooms can be any size and still be your dreamy escape! Don’t be put off by a odd shaped room or a small space, you can still create a fabulous environment, it just requires some imagination, time and believe it or not a small budget!

Your bed is the centerpiece of your room, so start by playing with different positions that might work best for your bed. You might be surprised that putting your bed at a angled position is a great choice! Choosing new bed linens is the opportunity to change the color theme for your room. A new duvet or comforter will be a jumping off point for creating a new mood for your bedroom. Luscious soft bedding in a soothing color, with contrasting colored pillows is one of your many options.
Duvets make a versatile choice because you can change your color scheme with each season and refresh your space frequently!

Look at your walls, there is a wonderful blank canvas just waiting for your paint brush to do some creative handiwork!
Your wall color is so important for setting the tone and atmosphere of your space, it can create such an impact for so little money! Take advantage of your walls in other ways, don’t shy away from placing a large mirror over your bed or grouping paintings together to create the effect of a headboard. These ideas give your room interest and a touch of elegance.

Let’s talk about lighting, it’s so crucial to have various types of light sources in your bedroom. Your bedside tables need lamps that have a 60 watt capability for comfortable reading but anything brighter can take away from a relaxing and intimate effect. Overhead lighting is important, but I highly recommend installing a dimmer for any light fixtures in the ceiling. I truly believe for that “Fabulous Factor” everyone needs to have a chandelier style light fixture in their master bedroom. This will add drama and character, and really elevates any room to a different level of sophistication!

Nurture your femininity and treat yourself to a “Vanity” or large bedside table where you can display your favorite “Boudoir Goodies”, like perfumes & jewelry. You deserve a special spot that is just for you! Also a bouquet of fresh flowers is a must at your bedside, don’t think of it as a splurge, for ten dollars or less, it’s money well spent!!

Let’s make our bedrooms a welcoming haven that we want to spend endless hours in, soaking up the comforting surroundings we have created for ourselves! Have fun and create the bedroom you deserve!

Carmel-by-the-Sea is a shoppers dream come true. It’s a haven for artists and a wonderful quaint community. There is something so special about it’s “one of a kind”, boutique shopping. It’s charming streets take you on a escape into a wonderland of unique shops, that will keep you wanting for more!

I must admit, I’ve been a “serious” Carmel shopper since I was 19 years old. That being said, I’m very familiar with just about every shop in Carmel-by-the-Sea. My absolute favorite boutique, which is like a “A Paris Inspired Shopping Adventure” is “Souvenir”. This charming shoppe has everything you are looking for under one roof, courtesy of it’s extremely creative owner “Donna Johnson” who has personally handcrafted many of the items sold in her shoppe.

Let’s start with the luscious jewelry, especially Donna’s custom made pieces! There are so many lovely original handmade necklaces and bracelets, in the most dreamy colors! If you want to take a step back in time, there is a very tempting collection of Bakelite brooches and exquisite vintage brooches as well. If your looking for clip on earrings, than you’ve arrived!
There is quite a special selection of vintage 1950’s to 60’s
clip on earrings, in every color you could want, with that added touch of sparkle too!

Souvenir has the yummy array of bath products by “Michel Design Works”, their line is so beautiful to look at and of equally decadent quality! Their candles make the perfect hostess gift!

There is a sweet section of the shoppe, that has special vintage figurines, if your a collector of small hand painted pieces, you’ll find Donna’s collection very whimsical. I love how there is something unexpected and fun around every corner of the shop! You never quite know what you might find, as your browsing around and that’s half the fun! Boutique treasure hunting, I like to call it!

The shoppe carries a fantastic line of very “Tres Chic” dresses, that I personally own six or seven of, I’ve lost count! They have a wrap look, in a fabric that never wrinkles and the look flatters every body type! All you need is one of Souvenir’s soft yummy shawls, to complete the look and your ready for a date night!

I personally love boutique shopping, because of the relationships I have, with many of the shop owners and staff, and Souvenir is no exception. “Kim Wolff” is the shining star of Souvenir. She is the shoppe manager, and she brings so much warmth and positive energy to her customers! She makes shopping at Souvenir such a delight!

Souvenir really is the epitome of “What Boutique Shopping Is All About”! It’s so special to find a shop that pays such close attention to every small detail, but then that’s so French! How fabulous to find hand made pieces of jewelry, that the owner of a shop has meticulously created herself! Everything about Souvenir gives you that intimate, warm and inviting experience, that makes you want to linger, over their beautifully displayed merchandise.

Once again, I’d like to turn to the topic of one of my favorite
passions, “Boutique Shopping”.
I couldn’t resist, giving you all the reasons, why you must visit this Downtown Willow Glen Boutique, which I absolutely adore!

You can’t leave this boutique, without feeling like you’ve had a very “Parisian” experience of “Retail Shopping Therapy”!
Magpie has such a playful and fun atmosphere, with a French twist! You feel like your on a creative exploration, from the first moment you walk through their door. They do an outstanding job with their window displays, the artistry just pulls you right in!

Magpie truly has managed to meet everyone’s shopping needs under one roof! Their selection of jewelry is always so tempting, I can’t seem to leave without purchasing at least one fabulous piece! I really can’t say enough about the decadent one of kind jewels they have on display!

If you need to infuse your home with some new “French Inspired
Decor” then you’ve come to the right boutique!
Fabulous vintage styled light fixtures are a Magpie specialty, their chandeliers for your Boudoir are luscious!
You’ll find lovely bed linens, with such yummy colors and the softness is heavenly!

Vintage treasures and whimsical handmade birthday crowns seem to coexist in harmony, without missing a beat! The unexpected is around every corner, as you explore the playfulness that is the “Magpie Experience”.

Magpie has endless possibilities for gift ideas! I love all their bath products! They carry the best lines, like “TOKYOMILK” and another favorite “SHELLEY KYLE”, which makes the most lovely line of “TIRAMANI PARFUM”, Lotions, Soaps & Candles! Pair this with a sweet little camisole or one of Magpie’s many colorful scarfs, and you are good to go, for that special gift!

I must say that Michelle Matz, the shop owner, has incredible vision and artistic talent, and it shows throughout her “Inspirational and Charm Filled Boutique!” Her staff is always so friendly and welcoming, making the whole experience that much more inviting!

Downtown Willow Glen’s quaint, small town atmosphere, is perfect for a fun afternoon of shopping, with the girls and enjoying a yummy crepe at “Crepevine”, which is right across the street from “Magpie”.
